Kenninji Temple

Kenninji Temple is the head temple of the Kenninji School of Rinzai Zen Buddhism. The temple was founded by Zenji Eisai. The founder is Minamoto no Yoriie. The temple was founded in 1202 during the Kamakura period (1185-1333) and was named after the year of that time. The temple is famous for its screens depicting the Wind and Thunder Gods.

Tokushima Ramen Todai is known as a miso base ramen, located at the Ramen Koji (the Ramen Theme Park) in the JR Kyoto Station building. You can put as much raw egg in your ramen as you like. They are originally from Tokushima prefecture in Shikoku island.

Saryo Tsujiri Gion Main Store

The place is located in the downtown area of Gion-Shijo. As you walk down the busy street, you will come across a store with a quaint Kyoto-like atmosphere. The store has a long history dating back to 1860, when it was established as a retailer of Uji tea, tea utensils, powdered green tea sweets, cold sweets (powdered green tea ice cream, etc.), and a coffee shop.
