I went to Taikakuji in Kyoto Saga for taking pictures of autumn leaves. In fact, I asked my colleague to take photos in Daikakuji before and have posted them on the site. However, to my regret, I felt it was not enough especially for the photos of autumn leaves and cherryblossoms in west Kyoto. This is why I made my mind to get in crowd and take photos in the season when the autumn leaves were in full bloom. (I’m sorry, Mr.I.)

I felt tasteful taste when I looked at the garden.
I got excited to see the inside.(^▽^)

This is the gate.
I went forward inside from here and entered the main hall.

This temple, as it is called Saga gosho, had respectable buildings and the gardens well organized. Since the Gosho is the meaning the place where the emperor lived, so I think it’s OK to construe it that the most respectable building was built in the best place in Kyoto, It is a meaning like purveyor to the imperial household agency, isn’t it? ( is it a little different.)

On the way, I had the powder of incense put on my left hand by a monk, and was told to have it sprinkled on my hands. It was the incense with scent of fragrant wood. After that I went into the hall named “Chokufusingyouden”. I, Kurama Tengu also worshipped there.

And to the Osawa pond.
It is said to be the most ancient Hayashi Izumi in Japan. It was decorated with autumn leaves and Saga Chrysanthemums.

As here is Gosho, there also is a place with chrysanthemum flower emblem.
That’s cool, isn’t that?

When I went fast further, there was an event for displaying Saga chrysanthemums.
I thought the brand was different from the ordinary chrysanthemums and had a little different flower shape. It was a great honor of chrysanthemum craftmans whose works displayed in such a place, wasn’t it?

The impression of my looking around the temple was that it wasn’t the temple whose charm was only autumn leaves. It was the place the emperors were living in the past as it is called Saga gosho, and I thought it was a respectable house that the emperor can live even now if the imperial family wishes to do so.

Well, what I noticed while looking around was that many of the visitors were elderly women who is likely to be fans of the imperial family, and on the contrary to that, there was fewer foreign tourists.

My return bus passed the Arashiyama Togetsu Bridge, and I could found many autumn leaves colored red and yellow on the slope of the mountain and its mottled pattern looked very beautiful. I, Kurama Tengu was smelling the scent of incense left in my left hand in the bus…
