This is Kurama Tengu, a citizen of Kyoto who buys and eats beef more than any other person in Japan.

Where do you buy your beef?

There are many famous butcher shops in Kyoto City.
As far as I know, “Mishimatei”, “Ginkakuji Onishi”, “Meat Shop Hiro”, “Morita-ya”, “Meat Gen-san”, etc.

Personally, though, I think “Mishimatei” and “Ginkakuji Onish” are the best.

The meat you buy at the butcher’s is definitely better than the meat you buy at the supermarket. I would say it is already a different product.

“However, the meat at butcher is pricy and you can’t afford it.”

The cheapest way to buy good meat at the butcher’s is to buy “offcuts” or “shredded” meat. Whether it is “cut off” or “shredded”, the taste is the same as that of high-quality beef because they are just selling scraps of meat. It is just misshapen.

While the celebrities buy high-end Wagyu beef, order the “cut-off” beef for about 400 yen per 100 grams. You are sure to have a delicious meat dish.

And those who say “400 yen per 100g, it’s expensive, I can’t afford it!” should buy butcher’s meat croquettes.

The butcher’s croquettes are very satisfying because they taste like good meat.

If you can’t afford that either, go to a business supermarket like a grown-up.
Even US beef is delicious. ^^
