I went to Ichiran for the first time.
My friend and I went to Ichiran near Shijo-Takakura.
The appearance of the store is like this. It is located in a little secluded place.
You can’t see it from the outside, but once inside the store, there was a line.
It took about 15 minutes to wait in line. There was a ticket vending machine in the middle of the line, and it seemed to be a system to buy a meal ticket there.
English, Chinese, and Korean as well as Japanese.
It is completely aimed at foreign tourists.
The variety of credit card and electronic payment is also amazing.
I bought Tonkotu Ramen for 1,080 yen. I think I wouldn’t have to spend more than 1,000 yen for a ramen.
The customers in line in front of us were two girls wearing Japanese kimonos and speaking Chinese.
Chinese people look good in kimono.
The waiter gave me a piece of paper to fill out to write down my ramen settings.
You can specify the thickness of the soup, the type of green onions, and many other things.
Our turn came around and we were shown to our seats.
The dining space looks like this.
It looks a bit like a chicken coop.
At best, I would say it is functional.
It is true that you can concentrate on what is in front of you and not worry about the customers next to you.
Additional noodles can be ordered both from the ticket machine and from the seats.
The ramens were brought to us.
Boom!
This is what tonkotsu ramen is all about!
When we tried…
It’s a kotteri tonkotu ramen, but the spicy miso taste in the middle is quite effective, making it a bit like a spicy tonkotu ramen.
It is delicious!
It is hard to see in the picture, but there were also two pieces of roasted pork.
They were small, but they seemed to be made from the best parts of the meat and were quite tasty.
Hakata ramen is known as “kaedama,” and the soup is filled with more broth to accommodate kaedama. Kaedama is 150 yen for a half bowl and 210 yen for an entire bowl.
I regretted a little that I should have asked for a kaedama instead of being stingy with it.
We left the store with the last of the slightly sweet pork bone broth!
It’s delicious, but I don’t think I will repeat it due to the price.
I am a poor person.
