About Ginkaku-ji Temple
Ginkaku-ji Temple is formally called Higashiyamajisho Temple and is a temple of the Rinzai Shokoku Temple sect. In 1490 in the Muromachi period, it was erected as Jisho temple, to mourn the reclining Bodhi of Ashikaga Yoshimasa, who died in January of that year. Temple has architecture and gardens representing the Higashiyama culture that flourished in the late Muromachi period.
The route to temple is about 10 minutes walk east after getting off the Kyoto City bus 204 Ginkakuji Michi Station. It is in the place where the slope is finished.
Unlike the showy impression of Kinkakuji, Ginkaku-ji Temple has become a calm stance to feel the wabi sabi. I prefer this Ginkaku-ji Temple rather than the Kinkaku temple.

Recommended places to visit in conjunction with
Eikando Temple
If you want to see the autumnal leaves in Kyoto, the Eikando is famous for the autumnal leaves as it is said that Eikando is recommended. Of course the best time to see here will be in late autumn when leaves color from mid November to late November.
Nanzenji Temple
Nanzen Temple is the head temple of the Rinzai Nanzen sect. In 1291, Kameyamahouou founded Nanzen temple greeted Mukanfumonzenshi (Daimyokokushi).
Yoshida Shrine
Yoshida Shrine is a shrine in Sakyo-ku, Kyoto. The history has begun in 859 when Fujiwara yamakage prayed for the coming of a deity of the Kasuga Taisha Shrine Four in Nara as the god of family.
