The shrine is located on Mt. Otokoyama and is reached by a cable car from Keihan Ishimizu Hachimangu Station. At the end of the cable car ride, there is an approach to the shrine and stairs to the observatory. The observatory is a spot from which you can see the view of Otokoyama toward Kyoto City and the cherry blossoms of the Yodogawa River’s Shiowari-zutsumi area below the mountain.
There is a magnificent worship hall in the precincts of the shrine, and many worshippers were waiting in line. It is said that the shrine here offers blessings to ward off bad luck.
