About Gion Hanamikoji street

Gion Hanamikoji street

Hanamikoji street is one of the streets leading to the North and south of Kyoto city. The south side of the Shijo street is lined with a venerable Ochaya-san and restaurant. Today, the stone pavement and the underground erectric wire are advanced, and it has became a town with feelings, and a lot of school excursion students and foreign tourists visit it.

I think that it is worth just looking around the town though the shop in Gion neighborhood has a little threshold as said that first time customers are not allowed. If you want to come to take photos, you’d better come in the morning hours when people are less, or in the evening hours to show bustling downtown area.

There is a woman in kimono there and add flowers to the cityscape.
