“The work you did was very unreliable. I interpret this as outrageous and terrible. Therefore I will not be allowed to live in the heavenly world. Also in Ashihara no Nakatukuni. (One theory says that he will not be allowed in this world, the world we live in, everywhere in the real world.) Quickly, you will have to go to the Land of Sokone. (One theory is that the land of Hades, where Izanami-sama resides, was blocked by Izanagi-sama’s rock, so it is said to be a land near there, or a land near hell, where Yamata-no-orochi lives.)

The gods thus spoke, and together they drove Susanoo away, and Susanoo descended to the Land of Katane.
