About Kodaiji Temple
Kodaiji Temple is a temple of the Rinzai Kenninji sect in Higashiyama-ku, Kyoto, and Hideyoshi Toyotomi’s wife Kitanomandokoro (Nene) erected this temple to pray for the souls of Hideyoshi.
There is a splendid Japanese-style garden in the precincts, and the two ponds and landscape delight the eyes of the worshippers. Because the tea ceremony has been set up in the precincts, it is also trendy to enjoy the green tea while admiring the garden. Because it is a temple with many attractions, it is recommended as the sightseeing spot in Kyoto.
In addition to the Kodaiji Temple in the Higashiyama District, Chionin, Maruyama Park, Yasaka Shrine, Kiyomizu Temple, Gionishibeikoji, etc. are gathered, so I think that you can enjoy the Higashiyama stroll course.
