It has been a while, everyone!

This is Umino.

Do you remember me?

This is my first post in about 6 months lol.

Umino was not taking a break from work, but working on inputting data for the barrier-free website.

By the way, why have there been no blog posts for over six months?

That’s because there were no stories! (Sorry for being so normal lol.)

I was unable to find any story related to Kyoto, and most of my visits to Kyoto during this period were by way of commuting.
I didn’t stop anywhere during that day trip, but went right back to Shiga (because it was usually before noon when I went there, so I wanted to go home and have a meal early, lol).

In fact, in August and September, I had the opportunities to meet with acquaintances in Kyoto in succession, but the restaurants I went into were all chain restaurants, or (I can’t say this out loud) not very satisfying places.

I haven’t written a blog in a long time, and it’s about time I wrote something…
That’s what I was thinking when October arrived.

One time, I was going to meet a friend of mine who lives in Hyogo for the first time in a while in Kyoto, and as I was thinking about where to have lunch, I thought, “Oh, I haven’t been to that ramen restaurant for a long time, so I want to let my acquaintance to bring to that restaurant.”

So, for the first time in several years, I paid a visit to that ramen shop, “Horin”.

I introduced this restaurant on my blog last June.
Located only a minute’s walk from Marutamachi Station on the Subway Karasuma Line, it is a wonderful restaurant that offers an inexpensive and delicious menu.

When I entered the restaurant, in addition to the usual guy, there was another guy who looked like he worked at a ramen shop (what do you mean? Lol.)

While being served by the guy, I ordered the “Fried Rice Set” that I introduced in my previous blog.

The price had increased since my last blog and was now 950 yen.

The “Tenshinhan” was not there the last time I went. Hmmm, I’m curious…

I hadn’t had it in several years, but the flavor hasn’t changed at all, and it was simply delicious!
My acquaintance also told me that it was delicious and I was very satisfied in my stomach and in my heart!

One disappointment for me personally was that I used to be able to eat this much ramen in one setting, but this time I was so full by the time I finished the ramen that I had a little trouble eating the rest of the fried rice (it was so good, though, that I was able to finish it).

When I was younger. I could drink all the way through the soup…

Once again, it was a moment when I felt that I had grown old.
But although the price had gone up (which is inevitable in this day and age), the taste was just as good as ever, so I was relieved and decided to come back again for sure.

Business hours are the same as last time (11:00-22:00, closed on Sundays), and it is only a 1-minute walk from the station, making it very easy to get to, so please visit there when you come to Marutamachi!

Thank you very much for reading to the end. See you in 6 months… not lol. See you next time (I will post at least one more time this year)!
