Good morning!
This is Kurama Tengu. ( ̄― ̄)
I went to elementary, junior high, high school, and college all in Kyoto City.
There were many friends among them who became good friends, but most of them left Kyoto.
Some moved to other prefectures for college, some left Kyoto City for work, some left Kyoto City when they got married, and most of my friends from childhood left Kyoto City.
Many people from Kyoto are local-oriented to begin with, and they choose local companies to work for when they are job hunting.
However, it’s not always a perfect ending. As soon as you get a job, you may be sent to the Tokyo metropolitan area for the convenience of the company. There were many people like that. It is hard to see people being sent to other prefectures because of unwanted transfers.

To begin with, there are few large companies north of JR Kyoto Station, which can be called the so-called core Kyoto City. It is because they cannot build high-rise buildings due to the height restriction in Kyoto City, and the number of properties for office is small.
I know that people who come to Kyoto for sightseeing expect Kyoto City to have the feel of an ancient city, but local residents need more places to work and low-cost residential apartments. Most Kyoto residents do not have the money to buy luxury apartments.
I wish a flow of young people raised in Kyoto, raising families in Kyoto residences, and then again to the next generation would be created.
