The shopping mall originally operated as “QANAT Rakuhoku,” an affiliate of Izumiya Co. expanded its building and the new building opened on December 6, 2019, with the name of the building “Rakuhoku Hankyu Square”, an affiliate of H2O Retailing, Inc.
“Rakuhoku Hankyu Square” is a shopping mall, and functions as a place of recreation and relaxation for local residents. Of course, there are paid-parking, but bicycles and bikes can be parked for free for an unlimited amount of time, which is also the reason why local residents feel free to visit.
In addition, benches are placed throughout the building for resting, and the building appears to be conscious of its cozy atmosphere.
The food department here is indeed named “Hankyu,” the famous department store, and seems to have a slightly tastier and more upscale selection of foods than other stores. Just because it is a side dish of Rakuhoku Hankyu, it has the image of being delicious.

The building also contains many retail stores in addition to IZUMIYA’s food department. For example, I often go to “QB House” a barbershop on the basement floor, “ABC Mart” a shoe store on the ground floor, “UNIQLO” and “GU” on the first floor, “Starbucks” on the ground floor, and “Daiso” on the first floor, and so on.
The “Diaso” here in particular seems to be very popular, and there is always a line of customers waiting in front of the cash register. “QB House” always have a line of customers waiting for their turn, too.
※The customers were few as I took this picture soon after the department opened.
