I also got interested in Manshuin Monzeki when I heard from aunt couple who said “We had a wonderful time to go to see there” yesterday. The temple which is said to be located in Ichijouji. It might be a surprisingly little-known spot as it is not too far from my home.
Although I went there riding a scooter after I checked up its location on the map, I got lost in my way… (^^;)
I finally got to there after I enter another shrine on my way to there. Well, there wasn’t autumn leaves there. It was lack of investigation beforehand. But I think it was OK since I came here for practicing taking photos with my newly purchased camera this time.
I stopped my scooter in the corner of the parking lot. There is no parking charge while visiting the temple. I am nervous that I need to pay for parking my scooter, as there is no stipulation in any temple regarding bicycle parking not car parking.
Admission fee is 600 yen for ordinary people. (300 yen for the handicapped) It is not cheap though I think it is the market price. I might feel it’s not worth the price unless I can’t see completely red autumn leaves…
When I entered the building there was a sign that prohibit taking photos at the entrance. Well, it’s astringent.
I went forward while taking photos of gardens that we are allowed to take photos. The gardens were beautiful at any rate. As it was located near the mountain of Ichijouji, the atmosphere there was very comfortable with clear air.
However, I felt a little difference for the scene where no people were sitting and watching the gardens because the red carpet worn very well was laid on the corridor from which we watched the special gardens.
After all, this feeling of disappointment is because I couldn’t see the autumn leaves, isn’t this? I felt unsatisfied with the objects as a cameraman myself.
As for the trial shootings with my new digital camera this time, I was taking photos with fully automatic settings and it was failure for the point that auto focus settings were not enough.
But I could find how to do settings looking it on the Internet after I got home, and I got confidence that I can take better pictures from next time. This only is what I got from this experience.
I’d like to go to take pictures in the season of the height of autumn leaves. ( ̄▽ ̄)v
