Hello, this is Kurama Tengu.
If asked which, do you choose udon or soba, I definitely choose soba.
Although dashi culture spreads in Kansai and its mainstream is udon rather than soba, soba shops have increased in recent years, and we are able to eat delicious soba even in Kyoto. Although, I, Kurama Tengu don’t dislike udon, I don’t like it enough to be willing to go to eat one. Although there is Marugame Seimen a little far froml my home, I have not gone there yet.

And as for Ramens I feature in blogs, its mainstream in Kyoto is pork bone soy sauce now, but pork bone soup was originated in Hakata. Some people avoid pork bone soup due to its original smells; I like it for long. And I am able to taste delicious Tuke men and taste Taiwan Maze soba whose origin is Nagoya in Kyoto.
When I think so, I can notice that food culture in Kyoto now is that there are many foods that have come from other prefectures as I didn’t imagine. But about for pork bone Ramen, I remember that I have had it by 300 yen or such in Hakata in the past, I always think that pork bone Ramen in Kyoto is much more expensive when compared with the one in Hakata.
