What I think of the Shijo neighborhood these days

Long time no sees!

I wasn’t writing blogs for a while, but I think I’d like to write occasionally from now on. Thank you again.

Well, it is the story written on the title.
I could go to Shijo Kawaramachi of center of Kyoto city from my home with 15-minute motorbike ride in the past. Well, it wasn’t the era when people complain about parking cars like now, so I was doing shopping at shopping street by parking my motorbike easily in the square in Teramachi shopping street.

However, the parking restriction for motorbikes and bicycles has got much stricter recently, so I am so afraid that I can’t think to park my bike somewhere. Yes, it is amazing. When we park a motorbike or bicycle traffic guards are coming soon as if they are observing us from some buildings.

There is no free bicycle parking near Shijo it is unreasonable to pay for paid bicycle parking lot each time we go shopping and it also has trouble to go by bus because it costs money.

So, I got not to go to near Shijo rarely for a while.

Shopping malls are now expanding in suburb area recently because it might be approved by the shops near there. Such shops offer free parking of motorbikes and I; Kurama Tengu am also very thankful of this.

However, many traditional shops in Kyoto still have no parking spaces for even motorbikes, but such shops offer better goods in many occasions, so Kyoto city people have worries about this.

Well, in summary, it is the story saying “hey, make free parking near Shijo”.
