Good morning.
This is Kurama Tengu.( ̄▽ ̄)b

Today, I’d like to talk about shooting points.
I often go to take photos of temples in Kyoto, and after I actually go there I think that…

“There are many places that have only one good shooting point.”

I cite KInkakuji Temple and Ginkakuji, for example, I find after I go there those great pictures posted on each material are taken from one shooting point in many cases. This means that sometimes you may take very disappointing pictures if you take from different spots.

Well, they were designed to have good and beautiful looks from this angle when starting to build them originally.

I usually find the only one shooting point as I see a lot of camera customers hanging out and taking pictures there. So I also wait my turn and take photos from the best shooting point. And sometime there are persistent people with camera on their hands in such places, and I think it will be breach of manners to stay long at places where people take photos, so I want them to refrain from doing so.

Also, we can judge the good points of composition of some photos by looking around there to some extent. I consider the place where people with camera like me are ready the probable right place for good photos. It will be helpful if we find places where elderly people with respectable camera in particular are ready to take photos. When they leave the spots I also go there and take photos. Although it is a imitation of people, I think it is clever that we imitate behaviors of surrounding people to find good shooting points quickly.
