It is located on a back street, a shortcut from Shimei-dori to Kuramaguchi-dori in Kamigyo Ward. It is a book café in the style of an old private house, and at first glance, it couldn’t really looked like but only an ordinary old house. But this is exactly the place I visited this time, “Old books and tea house Kotaba no haoto”.

The interior of the tatami room is a very relaxing space with quiet music playing, where you can really calm your mind and read a book in a relaxed atmosphere. It is the best place for reading. There were quite a few books in the small book café.

You can pick up a book from the bookshelf and read it. Or you can read a book you brought in yourself. You can spend your time as you like.

And the most attractive point is that you can enjoy a variety of café menu items to accompany your book.

Youth plate dish: 1,210 yen.

Look at this plate. Wonderful! They all look colorful and delicious. This colorful, voluminous group of Japanese and Western-style side dishes, plus rice and miso soup.

From the look of this dish, and from the taste of it, it was as if it reminded me of my youth that day.

Young, blue, and fragile, but sometimes red, sometimes blue, that day when I was actively burning. The memories of the “Blue Spring” are those of the immature, troubled and suffering, still searching for answers, and taking the road of the unknown again and again, hand in hand. I felt as if I remembered those days of light and shadow of youth, or maybe I did not.

And this time, I also ordered coffee as a set drink.

The coffee was also very good. Light and mellow. It is delicious black, but adding milk and sugar makes it even more mellow and adds a relaxing sweetness to it that makes it very tasty.
