This café, whose name means “harmony between the sky, the earth, and the sea” in the language of the Maori, New Zealand’s indigenous people, may have limited seating, but it offers a truly cozy atmosphere that makes you feel as if you’re right in New Zealand.

I myself have never been to New Zealand. However, when I was a child, my mother who has traveled there told me all sorts of stories and showed me photos.
The atmosphere inside “Manaia” suddenly brought those memories back to me. It brings back so many fond memories.
That time spent in a quiet atmosphere, with a calm heart, living slowly and naturally – it gave me the most wonderful moments.
In this atmosphere, what kind of dishes can I expect to enjoy here? First here is the menu.

The dishes you can enjoy at “Manaia” are… all delicious! I didn’t try everything on the menu, but after trying the egg and vegetable sandwich plate and the basil chicken and vegetable sandwich plate, I thought to myself, “This is delicious. This place is worth visiting.”

Personally, I thought this sandwich was really delicious. First of all, it’s packed generously with eggs. And the bread, toasted until crispy, is absolutely delicious. And most of all, as I was eating it, I could taste a sweetness. I wonder what that was? I forgot to ask, but was it the natural sweetness of the vegetables? In any case, it was really delicious.
And another thing that was really delicious was the granola with yogurt. Granola is a type of cereal made by mixing processed grains such as wheat, rice, and corn with coconut, nuts, syrups like honey, and vegetable oil, and then baking the mixture in an oven.
The granola yogurt served at “Manaia”. The flavor is absolutely irresistible. I wonder what it is? It really is that delicious. The taste of the nuts and coconut was just so sweet and crunchy – it was superb.

An egg and vegetable sandwich plate. I want to eat that again. No, I’m definitely going to eat it again.
It was the kind of dish that made me think that, It’s great.

This dish was delicious, too.The basil chicken was really good. It went really well with the vegetables inside. And as expected, the granola yogurt was delicious. The accompanied vegetables, carrots that came with it were sweet and tasty. Everything was just perfect.
By the way, “Manaia” has a one-drink policy, so you have to make an order as part of a set with a drink. I ordered apple juice (650 yen).

That’s why it was a bit pricy, but it’s still a mysterious café that makes me want to go back.

“The sandwiches really are delicious!”
“And the granola is delicious, too.”
“Plus, the atmosphere inside is great.”
I guess that’s why I feel that way. I’ve been to quite a few cafes and coffee shops myself, but it’s rare to find one that makes me think, “But even so, I want to go back.” So I’m sure I’ll be popping back in from time to time.

By the way, the coffee was really good, too.
