How are you doing in the cold weather? I am full of energy today as well. For when I was strolling through the streets of Kyoto today, I found a very attractive café. Now, I’ll introduce the shop to you.

This shop was built with the traditional Kyoto Machiya having converted into a café. Its name is fantastic, too. While keeping traditional Kyto architecture, reborn as a cafe anyone can relax, and from there the history of the link between new and pleasant persons will be spin away. It’s wonderful.

Inside the restaurant, there is counter seating first and then tables at the back. There’s an entrance and it’s long in the back, a true feature of Machiya architecture.

Incidentally, “obanzai” is written as o in Japanese character and banzai” in Kanji. Ban, as used for bancha, represents an everyday item and means as everyday side dish. The meals of the Kyoto townspeople were simple, with plenty of seasonal vegetables boiled and cooked to fill the table. This is also the reason why kyo yasai is at its best when it is cooked.

Delicious pasta and three different types of side dishes. With a menu like this for just 1,260 yen, it’s an excellent value for money. The taste was also very nice!
