Part 2: Water of life, to all of us.
Therefore, when we try to do good doings, then the Amitabha Buddha, without fail, will responds to our good doings. And it would always give all of us great benefits.
The largest benefits to give ‘water of life’, without fail.
I believe it. And I’ll continue to believe it. From the bottom of this heart.
I, Tatumi, felf my breast getting hotter as I listened to Kuya’s that story. No, I was feeling my whole body getting hotter. The Amitabha Buddha is always watching over us. And when we try to do good doings, it always responds to them. It gives all of us the “water of life.”
You would think it is a story you can’t know it to be a lie or a truth. But we at that time could certainly believe the words. It is because we did feel nothing like a lie in Kuya-sama’s words. Because that being there is strong words full of certain belief.
And above all, the encounter with Kuya-sama led us to feel the existence of Amitabha Buddha for sure, and to believe in it surely. Certainly the Amitabha Buddha is always there. Always is he watching over us and connecting all of us. I can certainly believe that.
Everyone would feel the same. They are somewhat excited and restless. In such an atmosphere, Kuya-sama continues the story.
“And, all of us who participated in the good doings would undoubtedly, whether we are alive or after death, be able to reborn in Paradise Jodo. By the guidance of Amitabha Buddha.”
The wells, they are sources of life which enable us living in the capital to be alive. Even if there is drought, the wells of ‘water of life’ that the Amitabha Buddha gives us will surely save us. Without both discrimination and distinction and equally.
My mind had been set up. At that time I only could take people of their belongings as a bandit. In order to change myself even if it is a little from me at that time, to become a person who can give not rob, I will go on my way of good. Apparently, everyone feels the same. There was none opposing to it. Rather they were willing to take part in this good doing with pleasure.

And now we are walking around the capital of Kyoto chanting the Nembutu, digging wells in places where there is no water under the leadership of Kuya-sama, and naming them Amitabha wells. Diggin wells is not easy, but that it where the knowledge and skills of the experienced Kuya-sama came in handy.
I hear the techniques for digging wells and site selection methods were taught to him by his fellow Yubabo Ekongers, who are native residents of the area.
The wells are made from wooden frames and can generally be made easily by anyone with other suitable planks of wood. The frame is made of a square wooden frame around 3.5 shaku (1 meter) on each side and four corner posts as a framework, which is surrounded by vertical planks. The bottom is covered with gravel or boards to keep the water purified, or a container called a magemono is placed to efficiently draw up the spring water and maintain a constant volume.
The wells thus created are named “Amitabha Well” and will connect the lives of all people. No, that’s not all. This will be a gathering place for all good friends.
People who are stranded in death will be connected by the golden rope of Amitabha Buddha’s teachings and will be able to stand up and live once again.
