Hello!
This is Kurama Tengu. ^^

I am a graduate of a private science university.
Thanks to it, I have my current job and I work in IT.
So I think I understand the importance of graduating college.

Recently, the data show that 66.5% of Kyoto citizens go on to college or university, but I remember that the rate was around 40% when I was a student.

To be honest, I wonder it is necessary for all high school students to proceed to universities or colleges.
It is true that if you go to college, especially in my case because I was a science major, there is a good chance that you will be able to join a large company through an on-campus recommendation. But many of these companies are national in scale, and it is not easy to find local employment.

In fact, a classmate of mine, the eldest son of a native of Kadoma, Osaka, got a job at a certain electronics manufacturer headquartered in Kadoma and was immediately transferred to Kanagawa Prefecture. My classmate from Mie Prefecture has found a job at a large Tokyo company, and my classmate from Shiga Prefecture has also found a job at a large Tokyo company.

Certainly, a large company would offer better pay and treatment, but it would be difficult to remain in the local area and take over the family business. Rather, if you can put up with low wages, you can stay in your hometown if you find a job at a local small or micro company, and it generally does not require that much education to find a job at a small or micro company.

If necessary, I think that if you have the academic ability to obtain at least one of the national certifications, you will be able to find a job.

This is why I wonder if the money you pay for college tuition is not worth the income you will receive as a college graduate in the future when you get a local job.
