I can drink beer. I can drink beer.
I can drink beer. I can drink beer.

drunken old man

If you drink beer, you must not get drunk.
I’ve been drunk. I’ve been drunk.

Oh, where am I? I’m so drunk I don’t know what’s going on anymore. Well, here we are at ~~~.

Here is Gojo Ohashi. (←the heaven’s voice)

Oh, is here Gojo Ohashi ~~~. The famous Gojo Ohashi where that demon Benkei and Ushiwkakamaru developed a death battle.

Ushiwakamaru and Benkei face off on Gojo Bridge

But, as I recall, in “Yoshitune’ Record”, it was the stage of Kiyomizu. It may or may not have been moved to the Gojo Ohashi bridge at some point. Well, I don’t really care (though it is not good).

I have never seen such a drunk old man like you before. I would really like to cut down a bald pontan like you without saying a word, but in mercy of my lord, I will help you on condition for today ~~ (←voice from the heavens).

It’s noisy ~~! What ~ what ~ since a while ago?

Sing and dance “Ushiwakamaru” on this bridge.
If you do, I will use my psychic powers to send you home.

I don’t know what it is, but if you demand, I will dance it “Chidoriasi”.
Here I go.

On the bridge at Gojo, Kyoto.

Ueshima, Uehara, Uesama yo.

Benkei, the big man, raises his reaver’s sword and cuts at Ushiwaka.

I’m gonna cook you up a storm♪

Ushiwakamaru jumps, throws his fan, and claps his hands on the balustrade, saying, “Come here, come here!”

Come on♪ Come on♪ Come on♪ Come on Benkei ~ Come here♡

In front, behind, to the right, to the left, here, there, and again, as fast as a swallow, the demon Benkei made a mistake.

I’m sorry, Ushiwakamaru. I won’t do it again, so forgive me♡

Ah ~~ yes, The Ohashi bridge in Gojo where Benkei and Ushiwakamaru met was originally the brige at Gojo Bomon (now Matubara bridge). It was moved downstream to Rokujo Bomon during the Tensho era (1573-91) when Hideyoshi Toyotomi built the Great Buddha Hall at Hokoji Temple. So the old name was used as it was, Gojo Bridge, and the name of the street was changed to Gojo Street.

Well, you think I know well, don’t you? I’m a genius!

Not a genius, but well done. Now I’m sending you home. Do not ever display that abomination again. So long. (←voice from the heaven)

Then the middle-aged man returned home safely with the help of the magic of movement.
