Hello!
This is Kurama Tengu. ^^
It is becoming hot this year too.
The hot days in Kyoto is hard every year.
I, Kurama Tengu commutes by motorcycle from my home in Sakyo district to my workplace in Shimogyo district, and even on the way there are hot spots and relatively cool spots. Although it is what I feel with my body, the difference is about 2 degrees Celsius.
The hot spots are first and foremost near my workplace in Shijo Omiya.
It is very hot between Shijo and Oike Street.
Yahoo! Weather says 36 degrees Celsius, but I have a feeling that it is about 40 degrees Celsius due to the radiant heat from the ground.
Generally, I have the impression that it is very hot south of Oike Street.
It is cooler north of the Gosho area.
The Gosho is not covered with asphalt, and it seems to be cooled by the vaporization heat of the moisture in the ground.
Gosho Minami is the most popular real estate in Kyoto City, and I think the secret of its popularity is this coolness in the summer.
Also, I always go through Imadegawa Street, north of the Gosho, and it is quite cool here as well.
I think I can understand why Doshisha University is located here for students who study hard.

Also, it is quite cool near Shimogamo Shrine (Tadasunomori)
I used to see cab drivers stopping their cars to take a break.
If you go further north, around Kamigamo Shrine, the temperature drops another 1 degree Celsius or so. I suppose the main reason why Kyoto Sangyo University, which I attended, is located in this location is because it is cooler in the summer.
If you want a real cool place, you will have to go to the mountains of Kibune or Takao.
I wonder if the riverbeds are cool.(I’ve never been there.)
Summer is still in full swing, but let’s get through this hot summer.
To those of you working outside, thanks for all your hard work!
