Thank you for your hard work!

This is Umino whose protein I bought on a certain retail site arrived yesterday, and who made up my mind that I build my muscles more while feeling it is a little hard to drink.
Go for it! (Not to bodybuilding … as expected smile)

Since the beginning of July, there have been so many rainy days that I wondered if the rainy season had really ended. The other day, a tremendous amount of rain fell in the area where Umino lives, and I received a text message on my cell phone warning me of a “landslide warning”! (At first, I was a little nervous because I thought, “What is that noise coming from my cell phone? Sweat.)

Well, last Sunday, July 10, I went to Kyoto for the first time in a while (other than going to work.)

The purpose is to participate in a self-help group for people with developmental disabilities (a meeting for people with developmental disabilities and their families to talk, share, and encourage each other’s problems and concerns.) Since the meeting was hosted by someone whom I am connected with on social networking sites, I, who recently started an online self-help group, decided to attend the meeting to learn more.
I have been attending online self-help meetings for a long time now, but I was quite excited and a little nervous to attend a real self-help meeting for the first time in a long time and went to Kyoto.

From the nearest JR station, go to Kyoto Station, get off there and transfer to a Kintetu train.

It had been a while since I rode the Kintetu train last time, so I was a little excited and nervous there, too! (Isn’t it fun to ride a train?)
In no time at all, I arrived at “Kinteru Tambabashi” station, the nearest station to the venue.

There I met up with a developmental friend from Kobe (who also organizes a local self-help group) who invited me to go with him, and we arrived at the “Kyoto City Kuretake Cultural Center”, the venue for this event, located just outside the station.

We were able to talk at length for about two hours, just the four of us, including myself (please note that due to regulations, I cannot tell you what the meeting was about).

After that, the three of us, except for the organizer, had an early dinner (around 5:00 p.m.), and as it was becoming dark we decided to go see the illumination on the grand staircase of Kyoto Station.

When we arrived, the stairway was lit up and the normally ordinary staircase was glistening.

I have seen it several times before, but I thought it was beautiful once again.

With this, our trip to participate in this self-help group has come to an end.

It has been a long time since I participated in a real self-help group and it was a lot of fun and educational at the same time. (I did my own self-help group a few days later, but I don’t know if I was able to make use of it: …) Like this meeting, I would love to attend another self-help meeting when it is held nearby.

But it was … extremely hot in Kyoto during the daytime.

Thank you for reading this to the end. See you next time!
