Thank you for your hard work!
This is Umino.
I hope you are not getting sick due to the recent temperature differences.
I, Umino, caught a cold twice in such a short period, once a month ago and again just yesterday and I was in a state of collapse. Sweat.
When I saw a temperature of 38 degrees (38.2) on the thermometer for the first time in a long time, I couldn’t help mumble “No way!” over and over again (lol).
Maybe I’m tired from going to so many self-help meetings this April (and the travel that goes with it) …
That said, it’s not so easy to stop participating in self-help meetings (lol).
Actually, there are a fair number of self-help meetings (mainly for people with developmental disabilities) in Kyoto.
Unfortunately, the “Kyoto ASD’s Place” that I introduced last time no longer exists, but this time I would to introduce a self-help meeting called “Moon and Earth” that I joined about a week after the late November when I joined the meeting.
“Moon and Earth” is a self-help meeting for people with developmental disabilities organized by Makoto Yokomichi, associate professor at the Faculty of Letters, Kyoto Prefectural University, and seems to have been running for quite some time.
The venue was “Hito-Machi Koryukan Kyoto”.
The nearest bus stop is “Kawaramachi-mae” by city bus.
It is a short walk from there.
When I opened the door of the room, there were already quite a few participants, and a middle-aged man in a unique shirt in front of the whiteboard… I apologize for my rudeness! The organizer, Makoto Yokomichi was already in the process of explaining some of the meeting’s precautions.
I quickly made my way to an empty seat and sat down there to catch my breath, and soon the self-introduction time began.
I was nervous about introducing myself to a larger group of people than at the last meeting, but managed to answer the questions, and once again, I took a breath.
In the meantime, several people came into the room along the way, and in the end there were less than 20 people in the room.
The first half of the meeting consists of an hour of theme talk using the “open dialogue” interactive method.
The second an hour was free talk in groups as appropriate.
In the first half of the session, I had some “I see!”. In the second part, I had a good time talking with one of the women.
The meeting started a little early, at 10:00 a.m., and was full of strong characters including the organizer, but it you are interested, why don’t you come and visit?
For more information about this meeting, please check “Kokucheese” (the announcement site) or Makoto Yokomichi’s X.
In case you are interested, please check the URL of “Kokucheese” from here!

To be clear, since the beginning of this year, I have only gone to Kyoto either to a business office or to a self-help meeting, so for the time being, the contents of this blog will be about the self-help meeting (sweat).
If that is all right with you, I would be grateful if you would read it again.
Thank you very much for reading to the end. See you next time~!
