Thank you for your hard work!

This is Umino~~.

It’s been a while.

I’ve been completely focused on working on the site, so I haven’t been able to write any blog posts.

Also, there was no news about Kyoto…

However, this time I had something to write about for the first time in a while, so I decided to write about it!

This might come out of the blue, but are you familiar with “churrasco”?

I’m not talking about the thin-necked glass container used in physics and chemistry experiments (flask), nor am I talking about the spicy seasoning that originated in America (Tabasco)… What? Do you know? …… Sorry (sweat).

Ahem! So, to explain once more: *churrasco* is Brazilian-style barbecue. Large cuts of meat are skewered on iron spits and grilled using only rock salt for seasoning. Staff members known as *passadores* bring the meat directly to your table and carve off exactly the cuts you prefer – in whatever quantity you desire – right before your eyes.

It is primarily an all-you-can-eat restaurant; I had admired this particular dish from several years ago and had been hoping to try it someday.

However, upon looking into it, I found that the only restaurant in Kyoto was around Kawaramachi; otherwise, you’d have to go all the way to Osaka…

I had been agonizing over the dilemma for ages: Kawaramachi is a bit of a hassle to get to, Osaka is a bit too far, yet I really wanted to eat it. Then, one day, I looked it up again and – lo and behold – discovered that a new all-you-can-eat churrasco restaurant was opening at Yodobashi Camera right in front of Kyoto Station!

This was a must-visit! So, at the end of May, I invited a friend along and headed over to the restaurant.

Exterior of Kyoto Yodobashi

It’s been a while since I last visited Kyoto Yodobashi…

I entered Kyoto Yodobashi from the basement level and took the elevator up to the restaurant floor on the 6th floor.

I arrived before opening time, so after waiting a little while, I headed toward the restaurant…

We’ve arrived! Here is “Churrasco & Beer Restaurant ALEGRIA.”

Previously, you had to travel all the way to Osaka to visit the restaurant, but it opened here on the 6th floor of Kyoto Yodobashi in April 2026.

Here’s what the interior looks like.

I was shown inside with a sense of excitement, and after a brief explanation from the staff, the all-you-can-eat churrasco experience finally began!

I was thrilled each time the server brought over a fresh slab of meat, and I eagerly devoured the slices as they were carved and served one after another.

In addition to the meat, there were sausages, vegetables, grilled cheese, grilled pineapples, and more – everything was delicious!

There was also a salad bar, curry, ice cream, and more, but Umino – wanting to fill up on meat – didn’t touch any of it (am I just being stingy? Haha).

Although there was a two-hour time limit, I was able to eat plenty of meat, making for a truly happy time.

At 3,630 yen for lunch plus the cost of a drink, it is a bit on the pricey side, but it is well worth it – so I highly recommend giving it a try if you have the chance!

Finally, I’ve included the link to the restaurant’s website below.

Thank you very much for reading this article to the end. Then, see you next time~~.
